Dutch Oven Cobbler – This is delicious and easy to make with a boxed cake mix, butter, lemon-lime soda, fresh fruit, and a can of whipped topping. You’ll be layering your fresh fruit in the bottom of your Dutch Oven and then dropping the cake mix/lemonlime soda batter on top of that. Add butter patties to the top of all of it and close the lid to cook in the coals for about twenty minutes. You can find the recipe at Easy Dutch Oven Cobbler. We think you’re going to love it.
Apple Crisp – You’ll be cooking this in a foil packs over the campfire or grill. Combine old-fashioned oats, flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut a good amount of cold butter into the dry ingredients. Set out your squares of heavy-duty foil and put your sliced apples in the center of the square. Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top and fold them up for the fire. You can see the recipe at Barbecued Apple Crisp. It’s a delicious fall recipe for camping.
Banana Pudding Cups – These are simple and delicious with several of the favorites we had as kids. You can make your own banana pudding with this recipe or pick up a box of instant pudding mix. It depends on how much work you want to put into it. These desserts can go in their own little glass jars. You layer the pudding with whipped topping and vanilla wafers. Magical!
