If you’re out camping, you may wish to consider some easy to use dry rub recipes for grilling your meats. Here are 4 easy to make dry rubs to get you started.
Garlic Herb
1 teaspoon garlic granules
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Lemon Herb
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon lemon rind or lemon granules
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Italian Dry Rub
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon basil flakes
Barbecue Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon savory
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Combine above dry ingredients and gently massage into both sides of the meat. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes and grill each side of the meat on a hot grill until it is done to your liking. These rubs can be used with most of your favorite cuts of meat. Try them with beef, chicken, pork, and even fish. The combination of flavors will give an added dimension to your meal and they are easy to do as well.
Dry rubs can also be done the night before and the meat placed into a sealed plastic bag overnight. This will meld the flavors into the meat longer and the meat will be even tastier.
Always grill meat on a hot grill and ensure that it reaches the proper level of doneness before consuming.
